How To Make Modeling Chocolate

Chocolate clay is used in all sorts of specialty cakes and desserts.  But, have you ever wondered how to make modeling chocolate on your own? If so, here’s how:

 

  • Melt your chocolate in a double boiler
  • Cool slightly
  • Slowly add corn syrup until it reaches  texture that you feel comfortable working with
  • Form clay into a ball and chill in the refrigerator for several hours; you chocolate will then be ready to mold just like clay!
