misc_sq Fruit and Nut Filled Squash - This amazing, supreme, stuffed acorn squash recipe is extraordinary. A succulent combination of apples, walnuts, butter and brown sugar fill the squash halves, giving them a classic sweet, tart taste that is one of a kind. Not only does this easy recipe taste delicious, it looks even better, with a wonderful appearance for brunch buffets.

Ingredients to make Fruit and Nut Filled Squash

3 Acorn Squash
2 Apples, chopped
1/2 c Chopped Walnuts
1 T Grated Orange Peel
1/2 c Brown Sugar
2 T Margarine, melted

Directions to make Fruit and Nut Filled Squash

Step 1:Preheat oven to 350 deg F. Cut squash in half lengthwise and scrape out seeds. Place cut side down in baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
Step 2:Mix the other ingredients. Turn squash cut side up, fill with apple mix and continue baking for 20 minutes, or until squash is tender.
