msc_tus Cowboy Breakfast Casserole - This simple, fulfilling, breakfast casserole recipe is phenomenal. All the prep is done the day before, as this egg sausage casserole marinates overnight, completely saturating the bread with all the different flavors. Just wake up, toss it in the oven, and boom, a fabulous, filling breakfast!

Main Ingredient: Egg, Sausage

Ingredients to make Cowboy Breakfast Casserole

6 ea Large Eggs
2 c Milk
1 t Salt
1 t Dry Mustard
2 ea Slices White Bread, Cubed
1 lb Sausage Browned
1 c Sharp or mild Cheddar Cheese, Shredded

**NOTE: For 8 people use 3 slices of bread and 8 eggs.

Directions to make Cowboy Breakfast Casserole

Step 1:Beat eggs, add milk, salt and mustard, mixing well. Grease bottom of 9 x 13 baking dish. Place in layer of bread cubes, the sausage, then cheese.
Step 2:Pour egg mixture over the top. Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 45 minutes. Let stand about 5 minutes before cutting.
